That curiosity led to bold partnerships with universities, healthcare systems, and innovators, and ultimately to the creation of Garner—a flexible platform designed to bring the right solutions to seniors and the communities they call home. Today, Garner shares these innovations industry-wide, helping providers deliver better care, build new revenue streams, and redefine what it means to age well.

For nearly twenty years my family has been developing senior housing with an emphasis on creating communities where aging adults feel safe, connected and valued. Working alongside my father, I learned the business from the ground up, everything from development and design to construction and daily operations.
Exploring the Future of
Modern Aging
In an effort to best steward our family company, I began studying the future of modern aging and absorbing the weight of current issues for operators and the families they served. I began to look for solutions with strategic partnerships from universities, healthcare systems, tech healthcare companies, and wellness brands.
Building
Strategic Partnerships
I began consulting with these organizations and other senior living developers to connect the large senior population with companies eager to serve them. Together, we built strategic partnerships that delivered mutually beneficial programs to better support residents.

With universities, we developed living lab opportunities for interdepartmental research, uniting nursing, science, and engineering programs.

Throughout this process, we evaluated and customized numerous software solutions in an effort to bring together the right tools for seniors and the communities where they live. Yet time and again, we found ourselves caught between extremes—our ideas often felt too early, too expensive to customize, or too late, with products unable to adapt or evolve alongside the needs of modern aging.
The Birth of Garner
It was this experience that led us to customize our own white-labeled platform with a flexible API system that would allow us to aggregate existing solutions alongside our own custom features. The goal: provide an overall tailored design structured in a way that senior housing and seniors can afford.
Garner was born when we decided to move from developing senior housing to designing software to make it better.
